Natural Shelters 2018

Troop 50 had their annual Natural Shelters Weekend starting on Friday November 16th through Sunday November 18th. This year we returned to Brandywine Creek State Park for this popular weekend campout. After meeting at Ebenezer UMC, a contingent of scouts and adult leaders made their way to camp on Friday night while the rest of the Troop arrived early Saturday.

Ten Webelos/AOL scouts attended Saturday and had a great time building the shelters with Troop 50 scouts taking part in several stations including Fire Building, Pioneering, Orienteering, and Tomahawk Throwing! Dinner was served and everyone enjoyed the Pig Roast! Each patrol made a dessert and side as their offer to the meal. A dinner theater campfire was the perfect ending to a great day.

Troop 50 awarded a 1 year Den Chief loop and officially welcomed our newest Scout Nick S. in a ceremony where he received his neckerchief and slide. Welcome Nick and congratulations Parker!

Thank you to all of our guests that came out and we hope to see you soon at a Troop Meeting or one of your den meetings. Webelos night is coming in January and Gold Rush in February! Plenty to do with Troop 50 and all are welcome!
