Who Can Attend?
  • Any member of Troop 50. All are encouraged to join the troop for an exciting week of fun and skills!
  • Please register early so that we may reserve space for everyone.

Where exactly is camp located?
What supplies are recommended?
  • Meals at camp are included in the cost. Food on the bus ride to camp is self-provided and we will stop for lunch on the way home. Lunch will be included in the camp cost as well.
  • CLICK HERE for a Troop 50 Summer Camp checklist. As camp draws near there will be more discussion on the gear list and any specific needs.
  • Any medical needs MUST be discussed and registered with the troop Medical Advisor. Meds must be kept in original packaging with prescriptions clearly legible. More information on this as camp draws near.

  • Spending money must be in a sealed envelope with the scouts name on it. Envelope is turned in to banker/treasurer PRIOR to boarding the bus. No exceptions.
What is the general schedule?
  • Check the Documents page for an itinerary.
  • We will gather at Ebenezer UM Church at ??am on Sunday July 14th.We ask each camper to come fed or bring their own breakfast and lunch.
  • All campers must arrive in full Class A uniforms.
  • Arrive at camp in the afternoon. Check in right away.
  • We will depart camp on Saturday morning and expect arrival at Ebenezer UM Church in the evening. Updates will be sent via text or email as to our trip home progress.
  • All scouts assist in emptying the bus upon arrival home and restocking the sheds prior to going home.

Troop 50 High Adventure Camp 2019 | June 23rd - 29th

Who Can Attend?
  • Any member of Troop 50 that meets: 12 years old, 2nd Class by May 2nd, 1 week of past summer camp & 5 weekend camping trips.
  • Demonstrated ability to ride 25 miles in 2.5 continuous hours.
  • Participate in an overnight Shakedown Trip (late Spring TBD)
  • Commitment to earn Cycling Merit Badge
Where Exactly?
  • 184 miles along the historic C&O Canal which runs from Cumberland, Md to Washington D.C.
  • Make stops in various towns and sites along the way
What Supplies are Recommended/Required?
  • Bike: trail worthy with rear rack, saddlebags, water bottle cages
  • Helmet, Bell, Lights (front and rear)
  • Repair kit and knowledge how to use it
  • Kickstand - "Greenfield" style is recommended
  • Comfortable clothing, bike shorts recommended
  • Camping: basic lightweight gear, 40 degree bag, mess kit
  • Tent, Cooking Gear, Food
